  1. Migraine: The most common triggers for migraines are hormones for women, tension, stress and fatigue, posture (sitting at a desk all day), dehydration and low blood sugar; foods such as chocolate, red wine, foods containing the substance tyramine, which include cured meats, yeast extracts, pickled herrings, smoked fish (like smoked salmon), and certain cheeses (such as cheddar, stilton and camembert). For hormonal migraines 50mg Vitamin B6 can help and it is important to support the liver with milk thistle, dandelion, artichoke. Best for liver support for hormone imbalance is N-Acetyl Cysteine and Di-Indole-Methane DIM. Many of our customers find taking 400mg of riboflavin (Vitamin B2) a day as a preventative works very well. Magnesium biglycinate can also help especially if the trigger is tension and posture.
  2. B12 Deficiency: There are many people that have an inherited difficulty absorbing B12 from food. Vegans can also be deficient. Taking a PPI for stomach acid can also make you deficient. B12 is important for making red blood cells so deficiency causes anaemia and symptoms are tiredness, fatigue, breathlessness. The best form to take is one that is absorbed in the mouth – sublingual. Both Solgar B12 nuggets or NutriAdvanced B12 chewables have worked best for our customers.
  3. Magnesium: Involved on over 300 metabolic pathways, many of us can be deficicent in magnesium. The best form to take for energy is magnesium malate or magnesium citrate. The best form to take for stress and sleep is magnesium biglycinate. The best to take for gut motility is magnesium carbonate or ocean magnesium.
  4. Mouth Ulcers: Often an allergy to sodium lauryl sulphate in the toothpaste. Switch to a natural toothpaste like Kingfisher or Aloe Dent. Colloidal silver sprayed on the ulcers promotes fast healing. Taking a Vitamin C and Zinc supplement can also help skin to heal faster.
  5. Dermatitis on head and eyes: Often this can have a fungal cause like dandruff and it spreads from the scalp to the eyes, forehead and ears. Change to a sodium lauryl sulphate free shampoo as it is often an allergy to this – we love A Vogel Neem shampoo or Hope’s Relief Shampoo. Mix into the shampoo some Higher Nature Citricidal drops – this grapefruit seed extract is a powerful natural anti-fungal.
  6. Hiatus hernia: This is where the stomach can extrude through the diaphragm and the pressure causes acid reflux. Eat 6 small meals rather than 3 large meals and snacks and chew food very well. : Slippery Elm taken before meals protects the stomach lining and oesaphagus while allowing good digestion and absorption. A digestive enzyme can aid digestion. Zinc carnozin helps to tonify the oesophageal sphincter muscle and support mucus producing cells of the stomach lining that help cover and protect. We love Biocare Slippery Elm Plus, Terranova and Udos Digestive Enzymes, Natures Plus Actizyme and Nutriadvanced Similase.
  7. Sleep with the head of the bed elevated at night. A teaspoon of bread soda in water can relieve symptoms immediately.
  8. Menopause hot flushes: Sage is the best herbs for hot flushes. NutriAdvanced PeriMeno Support and Revivie MenoActive are both comprehensive natural HRT supplements that include plant based oestrogens and support all symptoms of menopaus: hot flushes, brain fog and forgetfulness, sore joints, low libido, low mood, anxiety and more. We have lots of happy customers that depend on these!
