Malic Acid is found in a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, but the richest source is found in apples.

Malic acid has an alkaline effect in the blood stream and hence, it can limit the negative effect of acids such as lactic and uric acid.

Uric acid is implicated in gout and therefore malice acid may help to improve inflammatory conditions including arthritis.

Uric and oxalic acid are implicated in the the formation of kidney and gallbladder stones, therefore manic acid may play a role in prevention.
